Alan Godfry, British Police Officer (ret.).

Officer Alan Godfry is a retired police officer who served in the West Yorkshire Metropolitan Police in England from 1975 to 1984.

On November 28th 1980, he and five other officers witnessed a UFO. He saw a diamond shaped object about 75 feet away hovering just five feet above the ground and he estimates it to be about 20 feet wide and about 14 feet tall. The bottom half appeared to be rotating and the top was stationary and it did not make any noise.

Months after reporting this incident, he started being harassed. He was transferred 50 miles away and was eventually barred from entering his own police station. Contraband drugs were placed in his locker.

From the producers of Alien Con™ comes an experience unlike any other! For three days at the Dallas Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center, Cosmic-Con® will be bringing you both the best in science fiction storytelling and the most fascinating in scientific theory!

The line between myth and reality is attenuating. What previous generations deemed unlikely or even impossible is sitting on the brink of mainstream exposure: virtual reality gaming, missions to Mars, evidence of alien lifeforms. When Paul Reiser and Sigourney Weaver filmed the scene in ALIENS featuring a video phone call, they surely couldn’t have predicted the appeareance of internet programs like Skype or FaceTime. When THE MATRIX first arrived in 1999, actual VR technology was nowhere near what it is today, and the though of humanity sitting in small pods connected to the rest of the world was a bizarre and frightening thought. Now, science and technology enables us to do nearly everything from the comfort of our own homes. Science fact or science fiction? Alien Expo will be celebrating both.

Over the three-day weekend of May 26-28, the Sheraton will be hosting scores of celebrities, experts, comic book artists, VR demonstrators, and vendors from around the country. There will be informative panels, signings, and a full-scale independent film fest in the form of Silver Scream 2017 on loan from Santa Rosa. NASA may be in Houston, but the stars are coming to Dallas!

Mark your calendars, Texans, because Cosmic-Con is coming to prove that truth really is stranger than fiction — or at least equally strange. And whether that means weird science or the science of STRANGER THINGS, you can explore it at Alien Expo!
