Air Force's Bluebook Case Number 10798 Betty Jean Klem of Jamestown, New York had a very strange experience at Presque Isle State Park on Sunday, July 31, 1966. Her boyfriend's car had became stuck in the sand off of Beach 6 and they were still waiting for help to arrive at 7:25 p.m. when they saw what they believed to be a UFO. "We saw a star move. It got brighter. It would move fast, then dim. You could see it come down. It was metallic, sort of silvery. It landed between two trees. It came straight down. The car vibrated," said Klem. Klem also reported seeing a dark, featureless creature and hearing something walking on the roof of the car that was scared away when she blasted the horn. Douglas Tibbets of Greenhurst, New York, Klem's boyfriend, said that he witnessed the entire episode from the front seat of his car when he gave his account to Peninsula Patrolmen Ralph E. Clark and Robert Loeb, Jr. whom responded to their call for help. The Erie Daily Times reported on August 1, 1966 that eight people had reported seeing a UFO the night before between 8 p.m. and midnight: Stephanie Lupo Helene Roche Alain Orcel Charoly Mango Sue Karle Linda Henderson Janice Dickey Jane Moran The Air Force investigated the incident "Major William S. Hall" of Youngstown, Ohio went to the scene of the occurrences near Beach 6, where strange imprints were found in the sand the following Monday morning and took plaster casts of some of the tracks. A test for radiation was made of the ground surface in the area of Beach 6 where the craft was said to have landed. But no sign of radiation was found by Erie County Civil Defense workers. Five members of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena also joined in on the investigation. The five members whom came to Erie were Richard Hobbs, Joseph McGuire, James Reed, Jeffery Gow and James Sipprell. Two police officers reported that they had watched a UFO for two hours before the sun rose on August 3, 1966. Lawrence Park patrolman William Rutledge reported that he spotted the UFO around 4:45 a.m. Wesleyville patrolman Ronald Peck reported that he also saw the object. The Erie Daily Times received a rash of reported sightings, which they published. The U.S. Air Force's "Project Blue Book" Officially Listed this sighting As "Unknown"

All these

Numerous cases include reports of mysterious malfunctions of large numbers of nuclear missiles just as one or more UFOs hovered nearby. (Declassified Soviet Ministry of Defense documents confirm that such incidents also occurred in the former USSR.)
To date, Hastings has interviewed more than 150 military veterans who were involved in various UFO-related incidents at U.S. missile sites, weapons storage facilities, and nuclear bomb test ranges. The first case he discussed of the full moon and star like
object in the sky was similar to what I saw in the same time period in a
different part of Pa. but 2 smaller star like objects shot out of it and also
stayed stationary until the larger one shot straight up out of sight followed
by the other two.
Strange for a 16 year old to witness while trying to spot
deer and I have never forgot how I stared at it wondering what the heck just
happened.
